Arvind Narula, Founder & CEO, Urmatt Group | Thailand
Arvind has over 30 years of experience in contract farming in Thailand. His projects select high value crops and target the poorest farmers with price guarantees, agronomic training, and funding. He has launched or consulted for projects in Thailand, Myanmar, Argentina, Tanzania, India, Sierra Leone, Sweden and Singapore. Every project is aimed at poverty alleviation through profitable impact investment. Arvind is the Regional Chairman of the World Presidents Organization for S.E. Asia. He is also a founder and director of: Organic Latin America SA, Argentina, Hill Tribe Organics Ltd., Thailand, Coco Nuts Ltd., Thailand, Youji Ltd. Hong Kong, and Perfect Earth Pte., Singapore. He has also recently acquired a stake in Rice Bran Technologies Inc. in the USA. His companies are all certified organic and he continues his growth targeting poverty alleviation through profitable inclusive businesses. The Urmatt Group’s global clients provide the basis for continued growth in organic agricultural diversification and downstream food production. Arvind is a graduate of the Schiller University, Paris. He also attended the Sorbonne and the Chulalongkorn University’s Sasin Executive Program. |
Carmina Bayombong, Founder & CEO, InvestEd | Philippines
Carmina leads InvestEd, the Philippines’ most sustainable and inclusive student loan company, which has provided financial aid to hundreds of students and received more than PHP 35 million in funding from individuals and institutions. She has trained more than 6,000 youth in topics of employment, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. Carmina is also the Development Director of the Domingo Artificial Intelligence Research Center in the University of the Philippines, Los Banos, a foundation focused on AI solutions for healthcare. She also worked on projects with leading institutions such as Ashoka, Australian National University, Lutheran World Relief, and USAID. Carmina has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Philippines; three certificate courses from the Asian Institute of Management on Entrepreneurship, Startup Management, and Data Strategy; and a Social Entrepreneurship Certificate from INSEAD. Carmina has garnered numerous awards such as The Philippines’ Outstanding Women in Nation’s Service, Cartier Women’s Initiative Laureate for Southeast Asia, Obama Asia Pacific Leaders, and Dubai World Expo’s Top 120 Global Innovators. |

Ted is the Founder & CEO of Beneficial Returns and the former Senior Director of Lending at RSF Social Finance where he managed an $85 M impact investing loan portfolio of US and Canadian social enterprises. During his 7 years at RSF, Ted managed a team handling all aspects of RSF’s Social Investment Fund including business development, underwriting, legal and documentation, and loan servicing. His clients included non-profits such as Fair Trade USA and Digital Divide Data and for-profit companies such as Guayaki.
Alex Tee, Transformational Business Network Asia | Singapore
Alex is a growing impact investor who finds the work hard but beautiful and worthwhile. After considering all the ways available to meet the needs of the poor, he is convinced impact investing wisely is among the most efficacious. He knows capital is but one of the factors in the ecosystem required for true change, and hopes to deploy it courageously and sacrificially for the common good. Kate began her career in M&A where she conducted due diligence and valuation of public and private companies before moving into traditional investment management. She uses this combined experience, as well as her deep desire for sustainable and inclusive growth, in assessing impact investments. She is a Philippine CPA and an active CFA Society member.
