How can workshop participants take part in BR-led investments?
Participants will be notified and offered co-investment opportunities in which BR will be the lead investor. This will be part of normal business operations for BR. As with loan cycles it is hard to pre-determine the number of opportunities that will arise.
Why does BR offer to refund course fees in the event of loan participation?
The primary motivation for this workshop is investor education in order to mobilise more capital towards quality enterprises who are seeking both financial and social returns. Refunding course fees incentivises investors to take action after the workshop.
What is the minimum participation amount to qualify for refunds?
SGD 20,000. Participation must be made by end of August, within 6 months from the conclusion of the workshop
Is there any pre-requisite knowledge, skills, or experience required?
We are looking to attract those with a "growth mindset", those who possess a willingness to learn and work.
What do I need to prepare?
Can I join late/miss sessions?
We will be recording the workshop so those who should miss any session can access it between sessions. However, we urge you attend all sessions as a key value of the workshop is meeting and interacting with the presenters and other participants.
I’m still a student. Can I take this course?
Yes.
How can I qualify for a scholarship to attend the full workshop?
We are looking for students or professionals who have exhibited interest in impact investing and have evident need for financial support.
How many participants will there be?
We are targeting a maximum of 12 participants plus the recipients of the 2 scholarships. The class size has been intentionally kept small to maximise interaction.
